Micah

Micah is in 7th grade and started vaulting in the fall of 2022. He has officially pole-vaulted 10 feet and is on his way to great things. Micah Olsen is our newest member of the Alaska Pole Vault Club.

We nicknamed Micah the young Billy Olsen, after the former American Record Holder in the pole vault. We feel Micah could one day jump very high - perhaps even breaking Billy Olsen’s record.

In 2023, Micah jumped 11’3.75” (3.45m) at the Junior Olympics in Eugene, Oregon placing 2nd. It was his first PV competition outside of Alaska.
